Key club is up to 50 members!  There will be a key Club kick off social in October for all the members and their parents. September projects include spotting for the disc golf, tutoring, roadside pickup, and working with the Senior Center to help the elderly.   They raised $230 in their summer car wash and proceeds will go to the Stoughton Historical Museum.  Eighteen Key Clubbers are now trained to volunteer with the Senior Center.  Thanks to Sharon and Glenn for all their hard work with this group.

Pop Tabs

Keep saving pop tabs!  ¾ lb of pop tabs was collected at the last meeting, bringing our club’s total up to 101.75.  Can you make it 102?  Remember, we donate the tabs to the Ronald McDonald House in Madison.  Ronald McDonald turns them in for funds to help out with their projects.

Happy Bucks and Money Wheel

The Money Wheel is sitting on $145 so the winner is getting no less than $33.  Bring a dollar for Happy Bucks.  Remember all monies left over go to charity.

Newsy Notes

·         Kathy Farrell is recovering from a ruptured appendix.  Get better soon, Kathy!

·         Board will vote to approve our newest member, Jay Warner at this week’s meeting.  Welcome, Jay!

Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time.

__________________________________________________________
Locally, Stoughton Kiwanis has been around since 2000, serving the needs of Stoughton and its youth.

We are very involved with the local Youth Center, give an annual scholarship to a high school senior, read books to kids at the library, participate in Highway Cleanup and much, much more. If you like hands-on Volunteer work, Kiwanis is for you!

Perhaps our greatest claim to fame is the conceptualization and construction of the 2 year old Kiwanis Club of Stoughton Disc Golf Course. The course is located at Amundson Park, and was built by local Kiwanians with help from the City of Stoughton.

We meet at Venevoll Clubhouse (corner of Henry and Ridge Streets) for one hour, twice a month.
First Thursday of the month at 5:30 pm
Third Thursday of the month at noon
